3. Who all can visit my profiles and to what extent my information is shared?
|
|

Every individual who is a member of propertymixer can visit your profile and can
get a complete view of your profile. Though access to a few things like your Connections
and your Guestbook entries depends on the settings chosen by you. To make your Connections
and Guestbook entries visible or invisible to other propertymixer users, you can
update your settings by clicking on the Edit My Settings link on the left hand side
of your profile page.

As far as your contact information is concerned, it is invisible to every member
by default. Your contact info becomes visible only when you check the checkboxes
that appear on the right hand side of the page when you visit somebody’s profile
and wish to connect to that member.
|
|
|
|
4. How do you ensure we do not get spam?
|
|
|
|
We can assure you that you’ll never face the irritation caused by spamming because
we hate spam as much as you do.
|
|
|
|
Propertymixer is designed keeping in mind the problem users face due to spamming.
Hence we have taken measures to avoid that problem. No user is permitted to send
the same message to other users except in case of the “Send Mail to Connections”.
In this case as well the user has full authority to restrict the person from sending
bulk messages by clicking on the “Edit Connections” and prohibiting the user from
sending direct mails.

The user is also provided with the facility of reporting as spam if he feels that
any member of propertymixer is sending the same messages to all the users. You can
report spam by clicking on the “Report as Spam” link that appears at the bottom
of the profile page of the user.
|
|
|
|
Also, Propertymixer will never send email to your friends and colleagues without
your permission. However, if you contact another user through Propertymixer, we
will send email to that user on your behalf.
|
|
|
|
5. Have forgotten my password. How do I sign in?
|
|
|
|
In order to sign in, you need to enter the email address you registered with when
you joined and your password. If you cannot remember your password, you can recover
it by clicking on the
Forgot Password option on the homepage. After that you need to feed in your
email you used at the time of registration and soon your password will be mailed
to you on the respective email.

If you want to delete your PropertyMixer account because you are getting too many
messages from people, then you can avoid it by selecting “Private” option for “Show
my Guestbook entry to” in Edit my settings segment.

10. What is a “Mixer” in PropertyMixer?
|
|
|
|
A Mixer is a group of people under a topic of interest on which they can have discussions
related to any particular topic.
|
|
|
|
11. What is “Report as Fake” and how is it helpful?
|
|
|
Report as Fake is an option with which you can restrict a person from contacting
you if you find him or her to be fake or doing something that is offensive like
posting any topic which is prohibited or signing your guestbook and leaving comments
which are offensive or passing abusive comments.
In order to “Report as Fake” against someone you need to go to the persons profile
and click on the “Report as Fake” option present on the left side of the homepage.
After clicking you need to mention the reason for reporting the concerned person
as fake and then submit is by clicking on the Send option. |

Getting Started

1. What is Send a Message? |
|
|
|
If you want to send a private message to someone that other users cannot read, you
can use send a message option. To send a private message, go the the profile page
of the user you want to send message to and click on the send a message icon there.
|
|
|
|
2. How can I get more people to visit me and interact with me on PropertyMixer? |
|
|
|
Suggestions :
|
|
|
|
Make a complete and interesting profile |
|
|
|
Upload your photo or add a photo which you think is interesting enough and can attract
users to your profile |
|
|
|
Fill in the interest and industry category in your profile. |
|
Use “Invite Friends” option in the Main Menu and invite more and more friends to
join propertymixer. |
|
|
|
All the services of propertymixer are absolutely FREE. |
|

3. How can I Recommend someone or something?
|
|
|
To give recommendations you need to visit the person’s profile to whom you wish
to send a recommendation. After visiting you need to click on the Recommend button
that appears on profile page of the user, once you click on it a box appears on
the screen where you need to type in about your recommendation and send it to the
respective user by clicking on the send option.
Note : Do Recommend “PropertyMixer” to all the users. |

4. What is Chat Info?
|
|
|
|
Chat Info is an option through which you can share your chat id’s with the users.
If you want that your chat info should be visible to only one or some connections
you can do that by checking the chat id options available on the RHS of the person’s
homepage with whom you want to share the info.
|
|
|
|
5. How can I connect with a particular user?
|
|
|
Go to the profile page of the user you want to connect with and click on the connect
button. Give your reason as why would you like to connect with that user?
You get connected when the user approves of your connection request. |
|
|
|
6. How can I edit my shared info with a particular user? |
|
|
|
In case you want to edit your shared information with a user you can do that by
going to the user profile page and un-checking the options you don’t want to share. |
|
|
|
7. How can I be a part of a particular Mixer?
|
|
|
|
If you want to be a member of a particular mixer, you can do that easily by clicking
on Mixer in the main menu. Choose the mixer you want to be a part of and click on
the Join Button. You become a part of the mixer only after the moderator has approved
your joining request. |

|
|
8. How can I post a new topic under a Mixer?
|
|
|
|
You can post a new topic by joining that Mixer and clicking on “Post new Topic” |
|
|
|
9. How do I find a Mixer to join?
|
|
|
Click on the Mixer tab on PropertyMixer and choose from the list of mixers
Use "Advance Search" option from the main menu on the PropertyMixer Page
|

|
|
10. How many Mixers can I join?
|
|
|
|
Right now you can join any number of Mixers. |
|
|
|
11. How can I create a Mixer?
|
|
|
|
To create a new Mixer click on the Mixer Tab on the PropertyMixer Page and provide
all the requisite matter for the mixer you want to create. After complete information
is provided your mixer creation request will automatically go to the admin and once
it is approved by admin, you can use the mixer and get benefited from it. |

12. How do I control my Mixer Message Board Settings?
|
|
|
|
To change the Mixer Message Board Settings, go to your Mixer Home Page, click on
the "Settings Tab" on the top. |
|
|
|
13. How do I delete my Mixer?
|
|
|
|
In order to close down your mixer you need to send an email at support@propertymixer.com requesting
administration to close down the respective mixer or change the ownership of the
mixer. As soon as your request is registered the necessary steps will be taken. |
|
|
|
14. How do I remove myself from a Mixer?
|
|
|
|
To unjoin any mixer which you are a member of, you need to click on “Mixers interested
in: [Edit]” link available at the bottom of your homepage under the title “Mixers”.
There you can find “Unjoin” button and on clicking on the Unjoin button you can
remove yourself from the respective mixer.

|
|
|
15. How can I edit information like "Posses" "Seek" "Website" "Experience" "Interest"
"Job Title" "Company" "Industries" etc. ?
|
|
|
|
You can edit all this information by clicking on the “edit my profile” link on the
user’s profile page. |
|
|
|
Invite Friends
|
|
|
|
1. How can you invite your friends to PropertyMixer? |
|
|
Inviting your friends to join PropertyMixer is as simple as that. To invite your
friends click on the “Invite Friends” icon present on your homepage. Then by feeding
in the email addresses of your friends and writing a message you can send the invitation,
if you don’t feel like writing a message we send your request with a tailored message
on your behalf.
Also, PropertyMixer allows you to avail of an exceptional option of fetching your
address book from various famous portals like Yahoo, Rediffmail, Gmail, Hotmail,
AOL and many more. In order to use this service what all you need to do is feed
in your email of any of the portals mentioned below on your Invite Friends page
along with your password and click on the “Fetch Address” icon and you will find
that your address book has been imported and you can select your friends and forward
them the invitation.

Connections

1. How can I see to whom all I am connected? |
|
|
There are two options for doing that :
- Click on the Connections Tab on the PropertyMixer Home page and under “My
Confirmed Connections” you can see to who all users you are connected.

2. How do I see who all people want to connect with me? |
|
|
There are two options for doing this as well :
Click on the Connections Tab on the PropertyMixer Home page and choose “Connection
Approval” to accept or reject a Connection Request

3. What are my "Unconfirmed Connections”? |
|
|
|
Unconfirmed connections are the connection requests you have send to people to connect
with them but still have not been approved by them. You can see your "Unconfirmed
Connections" under My Connection tab of the PropertyMixer Home Page.

|
|
4. How do I remove a Connection I accidentally added?
|
|
|
|
Click on “My Confirmed Connections” under the Connection tab on the PropertyMixer
Home Page. You’ll see all your confirmed connections there and an option to delete
them.

Photos

1. How do I put a photo on my profile homepage? |
|
|
|
Please click on 'Edit My Profile' on the left column, then click on 'Browse' at
the bottom of the page. A window will pop up which lets you choose the file you
want to upload. Select the file, and then press save. |

2. How do I remove my photo from my profile page? |
|
|
|
Please click on 'Edit My Profile' on the left column. Click on the remove checkbox
at the bottom of the page with your photo and save it. |

Guestbook

1. How do I delete Guestbook entries? |
|
|
|
In order to delete any of your guestbook entries you need to click on the “Remove”
button available under the respective guestbook entry. |

2. How can I sign anyone’s Guestbook? |

|

Go to the profile page of any user and at the bottom of the page you can sign his/her
Guestbook. |

2. What is a Spotlight Member? How can I be one? |
|
|
|
Spotlight Members are the members whose pictures can be seen on various pages of
PropertyMixer. Spotlight Members get more visibility on PropertyMixer and in turn
get more opportunities of linking up with top-notch people. To qualify as a Spotlight
Member you need to have maximum number of referrals, the more number of people you
invite to join PropertyMixer and the more references you give, the more will be
your referrals and strong your chances of becoming a Spotlight Member .

Guestbook.Almost every intellectual property holder creates multiple versions of

in your PropertyMixer page and not the original one.
